Congratulations on the 50th anniversary of the Hiratsuka Catholic Church.
The Filipino Community rejoices with all the people of Hiratsuka on this happy occasion of the 50th Anniversary of the Church. We are grateful for all that has happened during the years we have been here. We can look back about 13 years. Then we were just okyakusan. Now we have a growing sense of belonging. Our community is in the process of growth, and everyone is committed to becoming one big community with our brothers and sisters from Latin America, as well as from Japan. Real growth began with the establishment of our community among Churchgoers in 2001.
Since then we have participated in the work of the Parish, fund raising for the construction of the new church : sharing in the Bazaar, organizing Bingo, and a Charity Concert. The children have made their First Communion together and some joined in the summer camp. We want to put more emphasis on the Christian education of the children and enriching our own faith. We look forward to a time when our separate cultures may be a source of enrichment forus all.
We thank the Lord for all that He has done forus in this parish.

平塚カトリック教会50周年記念を祝して
地元の皆さんと心を一つにして平塚教会の50周年の祝いを迎えることは、我々フィリピン人に とっても大きな喜びです!
13年前この教会に通い始めた頃、私達は「お客さん」でしたが、段々と、そして、すっかり仲間入りして今は共同体の一部となっています。その間、感謝しなければ ならない事が沢山ありました。2001年からフィリピンのグループは目に見えて成長しています。 南米や日本の兄弟姉妹と力を合わせてりっばな信仰共同体ができると確信しています。
今、教会の色々な活動に参加しています。建設資金のためのバザー、チャリティーコンサート、 ビンゴなどに参加しました。フィリピンの子ども達は皆と一緒に初聖体を受けました。ある子どもは夏のキャンプにも出かけました。これから子どもの信仰教育と大人の信仰向上に力を入れたいと思っています。異なった文化の交流のおかげで、共同体の皆がお互いに豊かになる事を期待しています。
この小教区の中で神様が私達に数々のお恵みを下さったことを感謝しています。

La Comunidad Católica Latina de Hiratsuka, agradece la aceptación de nuestra comunidad como parte integrante activa de la Iglesia de Hiratsuka reconocemos que dieron un avance gigantesco la tole aprendiendo rancia de lo biferente; lo que muchas Iglesias de Japón aún no lo hacen y le comunidad latina está a cambiar muchas de sus actitudes, dentro y fuera de la Iglesia para se acepta dos en este pais.
Nuestro papel desde esta tierra del Sol Naciente es ser embajadores y promotores de nuestra patria, ser exportadores de nuestra identidad nacional; no todo es trabajo tambiem sabemos compartir con los japoneses; en las fábricas, en centros de diversionen rejfaurantes, en su patrimonio cultural, en sus fiestas patronales y ahora en la Iglesia.
Tenermos la plena confianza de que la relación entre latinos y japoneses se continuará desarrollando en el futuro de manera active fiel a su tradición de amistad, nuestros mejores votos por ello y que se hagan
realidad nuegtros anhelos…

平塚教会のラテン共同体は、平塚教会のアクティブなメンバーとして受け入れていただいたこ とを心から感謝します。異質な文化に対する寛大な受け入れは、まだ日本の多くの小教区では行われていないことであり、この意味で大変有意義な一歩を踏み出して下さったという思いです。 ありがとうございます。
ラテン共同体は、日本で生きて行く為に、教会においても社会においても、まだまだその姿勢を変えて行かなければならない多くの課題を抱えています。
日本における私たちの使命は、それぞれが自分の祖国の親善大使として、私たちの文化とアイデンティティを知らせてゆく事だと考えています。日本の方たちとのかかわりはただ労働を通してだけでなく、職場に於いても、休みの日にも、日本文化伝統を表すような場所、あるいは祭り、そして教会に於いても、様々なかたちで、日本の方たちと分かち合いを続けて行きたいと願っています。
私たち南米人は、日本の皆さんとこれからも友情を深め、お互いの夢や願いを実現できるような支えあいを続けられるように努力したいと祈り、願っています。
