To the People of Hiratsuka and of Roku Chiku
Nearly three months have passed since I left Hiratsuka and Roku Chiku to take up my appointment in Atsugi. As I am responsible for Tsukui Kyoukai also, I find I have a much larger area to cover than before. However, I am setting in here and happily God continues to bless me in many ways, and I am grateful.
And that brings me to my reason for writing to you at this time. I want to share my gratitude with you. I want to thank the many, many people who helped me over the years, particularly during the last months of my time with you. Those last three months were full of so many things that I am afraid the kindness and generosity of people went unnoticed at times. I hope that now is not too late to say thanks.
The two churches of Atsugi and Tsukui are a new experience for me but it is not unrelated to the experience of Roku Chiku during the last few years.
Looking back, I realize that rotating around the different churches from Manazuru to Chigasaki was for me a most enriching experience of community, of the Kingdom of God present amongst us. That experience continues here to.
I pray may God continue to bless the people of Hiratsuka, and Roku Chiku, and may His Kingdom continue to grow.
